Retired The Akro Company The Pro Football Hall of Fame
Please allow me to take the liberty to point out some facts. Sue Nixon and I met in our formative years in education at Edison Junior High School, graduated from Perry High School in 1969 and both attended Kent State University. It is indeed my honor and pleasure to serve on this Board of Directors.
After graduating from college, I returned to Canton beginning my teaching and coaching career in the Canton City Schools. My degree was in Speech Pathology and Audiology working in the school system for seven years.
An opportunity from a local manufacturer, The Akro Corporation offered me a position in the sales and marketing departments. My tenure with Akron lasted fourteen years becoming the Commercial Sales Manager. Buyouts, mergers, and acquisitions began not knowing where my future was heading. Another opportunity arose: joining a Manufacturing Representation Group in the Food Service and Sanitary Maintenance Industries covering Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky for over 25 years.
Volunteer Career for over forty-three years locally for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Festival Celebrations holding various positions and responsibility duties in event planning.
